The Quick Start Challenge – week 2

Well this is The Quick Start Challenge – Week 2.

This program was put together by Dean Holland, Craig Crawford and JF Garsula.

There are 4 main reasons why I decided to join this challenge:

  1. I needed an easy or at least achievable map road to follow, nothing so complex or expensive that I ended not pursuing.
  2. I also needed the guide of a person (s) that started from the same place I am, who is now in a place I would love to be.
  3. I also wanted accountability, to have some attainable tasks every week  that stretch me enough to make me learn, but are not that hard that make me give up.
  4. On top of that, I wanted to be part of a community that is working on the same goal and is encouraging each other.

Well, I must admit that my biggest challenge since I started this IM journey has been the lack of consistency. Every time I came across something hard, I stopped and looked for an easier or better way to get results. Basically I was running away from success.

Yes, we can be afraid of failure, but many times we are more scared of success and commitment. (It is funny but it wasn´t like that for me in school, at work  or even in my own offline business, but for some reason it has been for this online business).

Well, my main goal with this challenge is to stop trying to make it right and start taking action no matter how hard or frustrating the situation might be. The only way to be better is by doing it and mistakes are required to get there.

I made this video below as a task for the Week 2 for the Quick Start Challenge; watch it here to learn more about this adventure.  I must admit that the biggest challenge for me wasn´t so much the recording of the video per se (which needs some improvement, I am sure), but the actual setup of youtube channel with google +. As you can see it is not setup properly yet. But I promised myself I was not going to stop myself for those things anymore, I will figure that as I go, but I won´t wait until everything is perfect in order to continue. After all, the goal of this blog is to share my obstacles and how I overcome them.

Ok, you can watch the video here:

Well, I invite you to follow my journey and hopefully you get a bit inspired by it.

Please share your main challenges, successes, your comments and suggestions.

I’d love to hear from you.

    Hi Carina
I can totally relate to your story – like you, i feel like i was running away from success because i was not consitstent enough. This challenge gives me the strenght to pursue my goals. And what i like best ist the community of likeminded people.
I wish you all the best – and let success chase you from now on 🙂

    Hello Carina,

You’re points are all spot on. In fact, I’ve uttered many of the same. Of your four main reasons, number two really resonated with me.

I’ve been chasing an elusive dream because I didn’t have the expertise of one who’s now where I want to be. I’ve bought more objects than I care to mention, and I’d truly be petrified if I added up the costs for all of it.

Another thing you pointed out that I liked is that people fear success. That’s so true. Subconsciously, I guess I thought, What if this works? What do I do?” Now it’s starting to make sense.

Best of luck to you on the challenge and keep plugging away. This will continue to be a great ride.

Hi Carina great start on your challenge, you certainly seem like a pro in front of the camera! Good for you. I think that we all spend too much time thinking about a challenge whatever it is instead of just doing it. All that thinking can cause us to be afraid both of success and failure.
I wish you every success in the QSC and beyond.

Well Abigail. This is not my first video although I haven´t done many and it has been probably years since I did those videos. I was kind of overwhelmed just thinking about the video and I felt so relaxed once I finished (lol). Now my real challenge is to figure out the google plus thing which was my problem in posting my video in youtube…Well I will report my insights about that.

  9. Carina says

Well I must say that was not what I was doing. That has been my mistake, but that is exactly the habit I am changing. I need to “Just do it”…

  10. Carina says

    Thank you Naidy!!!

Great informative video… you seem like a true natural in front of the camera! My biggest challenge was like yours… getting the video on You Tube! Kudos!

Hi Carina! Good video, love your hair!
I like what you said in your post “… I won´t wait until everything is perfect in order to continue”
That is so right, as the saying goes, “better done than perfect”

    Good luck with your challenge

Congratulations Carina keep up the good work! 🙂

Yes Keyur, you right, probably the hardest thing in any challenge is to break up the barrier, meaning just to start even if it is wrong. Just when we are willing to make mistakes we can really learn.

  15. Carina says

Thanks Bill, lets just do the stuff…

  16. Keyur Amin says

Great video and breaking the barrier. Nice one really.

You are correct. Let’s be together in this journey and end it with a bang. Wish you good luck Carina.

    Hi Carina

I like that…doing stuff…keep up the great stuff. You are good at it. Your voice is easy and pleasant. Nice video.
