A lot of people are tired of getting tons of auto-responses so they choose not to put their name and e-mail address for something that they consider a waste of time, period. This is the reason why you should gain their trust and offer them something that would be worth their time. In doing so, they will never think twice of giving out their information.

Keep in mind that this industry is not merely about making money. It all about becoming a coach and a great leader that prospects will follow. Give sufficient information to your audience on how to solve their problem, regardless if they buy from you or not. The goal is to position yourself as the expert that can help them, and has the resources and knowledge they can use.

The main key here is to prove to your audience how they can solve their problems with the help of your tool, book, product or service, in an easier, faster or cheaper way.

Believe me, after understanding how your product of service can do their life easier and once you have gain their trust; they will become a hot prospect for you. The more value you give the more people will want to follow you and even buy your recommendations.

Without a list of people who are interested in what you are selling and who trust you, all you have are website visitors who may never come back to your site again. That is why capturing their email address is so necessary, because you don’t lose that potential customer forever! Many beginners just try to make a “hard sale” to the people who are visiting their website for the first time.

With a responsive and receptive list you don’t even have to worry about traffic. Every time you send out an email blast to the subscribers of your list, a certain percentage of them will visit your link/offer and a percentage of those people will purchase. Some internet marketers make very good living from small but responsive lists. Hopefully you can see now why it is so important to build a list.
